Facilitator, Bucharest, Romania
On April 27, 2007 Bianca Brad learned that nothing is as important
as having healthy babies...not studies, not education, and not hobbies.
Ms Brad graduated from an acting university in Bucharest, and went to the Lee
Strassberg Theatre Institute in New York. She was Miss Princess
of Beauty of Romania, and she wrote for various women’s magazines.
Ms. Brad, a famous actress and model, was even on the covers of
many magazines. She was a public icon in Romania who traveled around
the world. But none of these accomplishments would matter as she
held her lifeless child in her arms.
Her precious daughter Emma Nicole died, and that would change Ms. Brad’s destiny.
Emma was such a beautiful baby girl that Ms. Brad thought she was having a
nightmare. She felt like she was going to lose her mind. Yet, she
had to learn to smile again, to hope again, to live again. And she
was driven to help others in Romania in her tragic situation who
have faced the death of a baby or child. Ms. Brad turned to God
for support, and she also found help beyond God and Luca; books
written by bereaved mothers and the MISS Foundation! The MISS Foundation
helped her to realize that she was not alone. The MISS Foundation
gave her the strength to cope with that unbearable, suffocating
pain. Now Ms. Brad has begun a MISS chapter and campaign in Romania;
a campaign that should open people’s minds, eyes, ears, and souls
toward compassion for bereaved mothers and fathers.
Ms Brad lives in Bucharest with her husband and beautiful two-year-old son,
Luca. She is now able to have days when she thinks about her little
Emma without crying anymore.
She is very grateful to Dr. Joanne Cacciatore and the MISS Foundation for helping
her to MISS her Emma in a more peaceful way and for assisting her
in helping Romanian bereaved mothers and fathers!
