MISS Volunteer, Facilitator

Deborah Brooks was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Arizona October 1997, where she currently resides with her husband Keith and 15 year old son Kyle. She is an Accounts Payable/Fixed Assets Clerk for the Maricopa County Clerk of the Courts Office. Deborah received her Associate in General Studies from Harold Washington City College of Chicago in May 1996. She experienced the death of her full term stillborn daughter, Stephanie Denise, November 1, 1986. The cause of her death was undetermined and resulted in no answers during the postmortem evaluation. Because of the love for her daughter, Deborah has become an active volunteer and peer contact for The MISS Foundation and received an award for Rising to the Service of Humanity. She is a member of the National Council of Negro Women. She is currently studying to become a Social Worker attending Glendale Community College later transferring to ASU West.
