A fifth-generation Angeleno, Tracey was born and raised in Los Angeles with her two
sisters. She graduated from Stanford University in 1992 with an undergraduate degree
in International Relations. Tracey attended Hastings College of the Law, University
of California, receiving her J.D. in 1995. While at Hastings, she served as Editor in Chief o
f the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly. After law school, Tracey received a
Fulbright Scholarship to complete post-graduate work in Hong Kong. She received a Masters
in Law from the University of Hong Kong in 1996, and thereafter returned to Los Angeles.
Since that time, she has worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department
of Justice in the Criminal Appeals, Writs, and Trials Section. Tracey serves on the
Los Angeles County Superior Court pro tem judge panel and is a member of the Board of
Trustees for the Hastings 1066 Foundation. Tracey is also a member of the Board of
Directors of the Cal-Tot Child Development Center.
Since 1995, Tracey has been married to her husband, Brendt Stallings, a Managing
Director with Trust Company of the West. They are parents to two living children --
Mason (5 years) and Ramsay (16 months). They are also proud parents to three angel
children – Vivienne Aline, who passed away at 4 months of age in February 2004 to SIDS;
and twin daughters, Celeste and Lucette, who were born still at 20 weeks gestation in
April 2007 as the result of a placental abruption. Tracey has served on the Steering
Committee of the Verdugo Hills Chapter of the Compassionate Friends since 2005, and
has facilitated an infant/pregnancy loss sub-group of the Verdugo Hills Compassionate
Friends Chapter since 2006.
