Kids Camp

The Kids in Sympathy and Support (KISS) Camp 2008 is a very special place for grieving children to recieve therapeutic and non-therapeutic intervention and support. The KISS Camp features therapeutic workshops, psycho-educational sessions, safety and prevention groups as well as fun activities such as games, water play, karaoke, movie nights, arts and crafts.

A variety of specialists are scheduled to attend and offer their expertise in grief processing, art therapy, music therapy and play therapy. This year's conference includes several workshops designed to assist each child in working through their grief as a result of sibling death or parental/close relative death and trauma.

Scheduled to appear:

• The Great Brandini
• Poetry Slam with Kara and Hawk Jones
• Mask Making with creative healing arts
• Lunch with Phoenix Fire and Police
• The Hall of Flames (Firefighter Museum)
• "The Monkey and the Pirate" performed by the Great Arizona Puppet Theater
