"Love and Remembrance go on Forever"
- George W. Bush
Occasion: Day Of Mourning Services, National Cathedral
9/13/01

Child Packets The MISS Foundation is providing "Grief support packets" to children who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

So often it is the children and teenagers who are forgotten. Adults are grieving too and often, though not intentionally, forget about the children's grief. Children grieve differently and sometimes it can be interpreted that they are handling things okay.

Teen Packets The MISS Foundation sends out packets regularly to families and to those who support grieving families (like fire fighters, counselors, medical staff, etc.) If you would like to help the grieving children, you can do so by sponsoring a grief packet (or packets). We have put together two types of packets: one for younger children and one for teens. The packets will include an age appropriate book for a child dealing with grief and some informational brochures (which may or may not be the books shown on this page). Teen packets will also be sent with a book that specifically targets the often unseen and misunderstood teenage grief. The cost for the books, reprint of brochures and any postage/delivery is estimated at $12.00 per pack for the Children's packet and $17.00 per pack for the Teen packet.

All sponsors will be acknowledged in the MISSing Angels newsletter. And, at the request of the sponsor, a Kindness Card can be included with the sponsor's child or loved one's name.

MISS is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
