From the Mailbag

angel Joanne:

Through your website I have found a place where everyone cares and supports you especially when the world around you doesn’t. These ladies care and it doesn’t matter what you look like, what you do for a living, where you live...they care because we are linked by a common tragedy. This link makes us stronger. Before I found this website...when I first lost Connor, I was so depressed that I actually was thinking of killing myself. The overwhelming pain and grief I was feeling everyday was such a huge load to bear that I couldn’t seem to see past it. Now I still feel that same huge load, but by seeing others who carry the same burden everyday and still wake up the next morning...it’s given me hope, it’s given me happiness and it’s given me a will where I didn’t have one before.
Thank you Joanne,

Nicole Brown

Dear Joanne:

I work at the Springfield Rescue Mission in Springfield, MA. For the past 3 years we have sponsored a school supply drive to help Springfield’s inner-city children who are low-income and/or homeless. This year we have been the recipients of some amazingly wonderful gifts by people who have enclosed some of your “Random Acts of Kindness” cards. They did not leave their names – God knows who they are and will bless them for their kindness. I just wanted to let someone know...I am deeply touched by their generosity and will be sure their gifts will be given to a child who will appreciate sacrifice. Their precious angel, Stephanie, will be remembered.

Thank you!
Georgia Briggs
