| Why a Grief Workshop?
This unique Bereavement Workshop Offers Your Facility:
- Commitment to the Community-By sponsoring this workshop
at your facility, you will increase compassion and grief awareness
in your staff, and affirm your dedication to the total comprehensive
care of individuals and bereaved families within your community.
- Commitment to Your Staff-many professionals feel uncomfortable
attempting to support bereaved families due to a lack of proper
training or experience. Most psychologists agree that bereavement
following the death of an infant is a unique situation which requires
unconventional training in order to support the bereaved families.
This workship will help your staff to feel more comfortable and
better prepared in dealing with these situations. It is not
a replacement of any current grief programs, however, it is an
enhancement and reinforcement.
- Commitment to Families-This workshop will train your
staff to offer complete support to bereaved parents and siblings
with compassion, understanding, and kindness. While we recognize
no individual can completely comprehend the pain of a grieving
parent, the workshop will enable your staff to look clearly through
the "emotional window of grief" into the hearts of the bereaved
parents.
