Research Study about Parent's Needs in NICU

A research study funded by the National Institutes of Health is underway focusing on how to improve palliative care for premature infants and their families in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU's). This study is for parents who had a premature baby born at 27 weeks gestation or younger, a birthweight less than 750 grams, who subsequently died while in the NICU. Parents who volunteer to participate will be asked to complete a brief survey about the care your baby received in the NICU and about how you think that this care and parent involvement could be improved for other babies and their parents. This is an anonymous survey - you will not put your name or the hospital name on it. It should take about 20 minutes of your time. If you are interested in volunteering to complete this survey or if you would like to learn more about this study, please contact the researcher in charge, Dr. Tanya Sudia-Robinson (RN, PhD). Dr. Sudia-Robinson can be reached by telephone at 404-712-9750, by email at tsudiar@emory.edu, or by mail at Emory University 1256 Briarcliff Rd., Room 426-S Atlanta, GA. 30306.

Thank you.
